Teens After-School Space
The Bailey Library provides a comfortable safe space for teens to study, congregate, and read during after-school hours Monday through Thursday. The Teen Space is located on the west side of the Locashio Adult Wing. Knowledgeable and friendly staff are available for homework help, laptops are available for use, and lots of terrific college and career resources are housed in the teen space. The library also offers an ever growing collection of popular teen books and graphic novels!
We are excited to announce that Shane Billings is returning to the Bailey Library in his former role as our full-time manager of Adult Services! Shane grew up in Bryant Pond before studying English at the University of Hartford and the University of Maine Farmington. He has spent the past 25 years working in management roles at bookstores and libraries, and brings a wealth of experience in collection development, community outreach, and readers' advisory. Outside of work, Shane enjoys reading Anne Tyler and Stephen King, hiking, and writing. Be sure to stop by and welcome Shane back to the library in his new (old) role!
