Lakes Region Forum – “The Maine Roadshow” presented by Tim O’Brien
WEDNESDAY – Join us as we welcome award-winning photojournalist, Tim O’Brien, to discuss his book “The Maine roadshow : a roadside tour of the state’s history, culture, food, funk & oddities.” Tim will share engaging stories from his five-year journey visiting and documenting some of the best locations in the state. Winthrop Candidate Forum
The Bailey Public Library invites the public to meet the candidates for Winthrop Town Council whose names will be on the ballot in the November 5th election. The forum will give Winthrop residents an opportunity to learn about the five candidates who are vying for three open Town Council seats: Bruce Burns, Linda Caprara, Christopher Lavigne, Zachary Steele, and Andy Wess. All candidates have accepted our invitation to participate in the event.
Library Director Richard Fortin will moderate the event, wherein each candidate will have an opportunity to make an opening statement, followed by a discussion of Town issues, a period for public question and answer, and closing statements. Spooky Paint Night
This Halloween, adult patrons are welcome to join us for a fun paint night with local artist Angie Harris of Beech Hill Design! We’ll provide the supplies, Angie will provide the design and instruction, and you’ll create a seasonally appropriate spooky piece of art to take home and hang on your wall, or to give away as a gift.
