Volunteer at the Bailey Library

The Bailey Public Library provides a rewarding and enriching opportunity for adults and children (12+) to volunteer their time, or to meet a community service work requirement set by an outside agency. The library is also a great place for local schools and organizations to send volunteers for community “Day of Caring” days. Volunteers are essential partners in our mission to serve as a lifelong learning center offering diverse resources for people of all ages.

All requests for community service volunteer work will be considered on a case by case basis. To volunteer at the Bailey Library, please contact Shane Billings at: sbillings@baileylibrary.org.

The library has limited spots available, with the following duties:

• Shelve books and DVDs
• Process incoming inter-library loans
• Pull items for outgoing inter-library loans
• Pack items for outgoing inter-library loans
• Shelf reading/organizing
• Sort donated items for the book sale
• Yard work, gardening, weeding
