From Maine to the Moon: ISS to Artemis

We are excited to host Brian Ewenson, Aerospace Educator! This event is sponsored by the Winthrop Parent Teacher Organization.
This event, from 3:00 – 4:00pm, is designed for ages 12 and older. There is an event for younger kids from 4:30 – 5:30pm on the same day.

Follow Maine’s four astronauts as they flew aboard the Space Shuttle leading the way to our Return to the Moon with Artemis. Jessica Meir from Caribou, Maine, serves presently as the ISS Commander and is also part of the cadre of 18 astronauts selected for the Artemis Program that circled the moon in early April. Parts of the SLS rocket were made in Maine. See what it is like to live, work, eat, sleep, and play in space with real NASA equipment and artifacts.
