Under strong leadership and with a creative, dedicated staff, the library continues to grow as a community hub for learning, connection, and fun for all ages. Partnerships with local schools have expanded, bringing library resources into classrooms and welcoming students into the library.
Children and families enjoy a wide range of engaging programs and events, along with outdoor experiences like StoryWalks. Teen offerings continue to expand with activities that support creativity and connection.
Adults can take part in book groups and music gatherings that build community and shared interests. In addition to books, the library now lends tools, outdoor gear, and activity kits, making it a practical resource for everyday needs.
As these services continue to grow, so does the need for support. Donations help sustain and expand the programs, collections, and resources the community relies on. The library remains a dynamic space designed to serve and inspire everyone.<\/p>\n

The foundation advocates for an ever-improving library and works to generate resources to support the Bailey Public Library. A separate entity from the Friends and Trustees, with its own mission and by-laws, the foundation enlists the involvement of individuals, families, foundations, businesses, organizations, trusts and estates. The foundation\u2019s strength lies in Winthrop\u2019s many community volunteers whose dedicated service and generous contribution of time, talent and resources have helped develop Bailey Public Library into the thriving cultural institution it is today. The Bailey Library enriches the lives of everyone in our community, regardless of age or economic circumstance. Whether you use the library or value it as a center of knowledge and exploration, becoming a supporter of the foundation is an effective way to support one of Winthrop\u2019s most valued treasures.\r\n\r\nThe Bailey Library is indebted to the community of Winthrop, who came together from 2010-2015 to make the 2015 Library Addition a reality.
