DESCRIPTION:We are excited to host a special evening with mural artists Chr
 is Cart and Jen Greta Cart on Wednesday\, April 22nd at 6:30pm. This prese
 ntation will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the development of our new 
 large-scale children’s and adult murals\, which reflect Winthrop’s his
 tory and community traditions. Through a slideshow\, the artists will shar
 e their creative process\, including preliminary panels\, current progress
 \, and the historical research and concepts informing the work ahead of th
 e installation. Attendees will gain insight into how local landmarks\, cul
 tural traditions\, and literary influences are incorporated into these com
 munity-centered pieces.\n\nChris Cart is a Maine-based painter and muralis
 t whose work focuses on storytelling through imagery. He has completed num
 erous public commissions across the state\, including large-scale murals i
 n Hallowell\, Bath\, Augusta\, and Brunswick. A Signature Member of the Na
 tional Watercolor Society\, Cart has also illustrated more than 30 books a
 nd exhibited widely in Maine and beyond. Jen Greta Cart is a painter and m
 uralist who has led and collaborated on major public mural projects in Mai
 ne\, including the large-scale “Many Stitches Hold up the Sky” mural i
 n Brunswick. Working closely with Chris Cart\, she plays a central role in
  developing the visual concepts and overall composition of their collabora
