Your annual membership will make a meaningful difference to the lives of the many and diverse people the library serves, and will allow the library to remain viable for years to come.

Endowment Gifts >>
Establishing a permanent endowment fund in your name or the name of a loved one is a wonderful way to make a gift to support the Bailey Library that will last a lifetime. A contribution of $20,000 or more will establish a named endowment in perpetuity.

Legacy Gifts >>
Planned gifts are a fantastic way of ensuring our library’s excellence for generations to come. The Foundation accepts a variety of planned gifts including Bequests through Wills or Trust, Charitable Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Trust, Retirement Plan Assets and Life Insurance Donation.

Matching Gifts >>
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact your Human Resources Department. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Memorial Book Gifts >>
You may remember a loved one or honor a friend by contributing to the Library Foundation for the purpose of purchasing books for the collection. A memorial gift is a thoughtful way to honor the life and legacy of a loved one. An acknowledgement note is sent to the family. A library Book Plate will be placed in each item added to the collection purchased. Books generally cost between $25 and $50 each. A note is sent to the honoree, letting them know of this special gift. If requested, donors may meet with the Director to determine the best fit for the book plate, but specific titles may not be requested for purchase.

Donate Books >>
Books donated to the library are designated to the Friends of the Bailey Library. The Friends will re-sell your donations at their annual Book Sale. Proceeds from the sale help fund library projects, activities, and materials not covered by the library’s operating budget. The Friends are a separate 501(c)(3) organization from the Foundation or Trustees, with their own mission and bylaws.
