You can schedule a free CA$H Maine tax preparation appointment if you qualify by calling 207-621-3430 or dial 2-1-1. The CA$H Maine program is available to any Mainer making under $54,000 per year.
The AARP Tax Aide program also helps thousands of taxpayers of all ages fill out their taxes. Winthrop is not hosting a Tax Aide in 2017. The nearest locations are:

“Circuitbreaker” Program: The Maine Residents Property Tax and Rent Refund “Circuitbreaker” Program has been repealed as part of the enacted state budget for claims beginning on or after August 1, 2013. The Circuitbreaker Program has been replaced by a refundable Property Tax Fairness Credit that can be claimed on the Maine Individual Income Tax Form.
